Recently the computing world has made huge changes and simplicity in various undertakings. Technological advancements are likely to introduce different practices Business environments, learning environments, working environments, society and home environments. All these are likely to be highly impacted by changes in the level of technology over years.

Business and marketing environments

Recently markets are being globalized through online shopping systems. Payments are also being settled electronically. Most companies advertise their products electronically. Both buyers and sellers are currently contacting each other electronically to bargain prices, payments and delivery modes. More are expected to happen as a result of technological advancements on business and marketing environments.

i.                 Physical markets for some industrial products are likely to be reduced. More softwares is being developed for marketing various products and services online. Online advertisements and shopping platforms are likely to enable directly delivery of products from a manufacturer to a buyer after settlement of prices through online platforms/money transfer services. This has already started being used by most vehicle companies in the world.

ii.               In future technological advancements are likely to eliminate cash based payment system due to excessive use of online payments platforms. POS machines, credit cards are likely to remove cash handling in markets and business transactions.

iii.             Direct door deliveries of products to customers are also expected to increase in near future. There will no need to go to the market physically. Online communication between customer and sellers can enable delivery of product to customer directly. Formal residential address can easily facilitate sellers to deliver products to their customers.

Learning perspective

Learning environment has been made easy with the use of advanced level of technology. Online learning system has been widely used and no need of physical attending in classes. Also no more going (travelling long distances) and spending more time into library but rather paying and learning through online books has been adapted more widely. Procedures of making payments to access physical books in library have been overtaken by online learning platforms where various books can easily be accesses at lower prices. You can easily access the books while at home or at work etc. This has reduced paperwork learning system by adaptation of online libraries and online sharing of material s from instructors to students.

Future technological advancements in learning perspective;

       i.          Physical attending of classes are likely to be replaced by online/live video conferences where instructors are likely to conduct online lectures.

     ii.          Also in the future more physical libraries are likely to be replaced by online libraries. Online payment systems to access online libraries are likely to be in use.

   iii.          Online examinations are likely to be conducted in the future rather than physical circulation of paper based examination.

   iv.          In the future, Schools and Universities are likely to have fewer buildings than the number of students enrolled. This will be due to online learning platforms which may not necessitate physical residing within the University compounds as well as online tests and examinations.

More duties and tasks are recently being automated in most organizations. The use of robots has also been widely adapted by most manufacturing companies in the world.        i.          For organization with branches over the country or internationally, the use of video conferencing may enable all employees to be trained easily on some new products/services.

     ii.          Technological advancements are likely to eliminate the physical records keeping of official information through files. Electronic filing and storage system is likely to replace the paper based information keeping. Most of organizations have adapted the system of approving payments electronically.

   iii.          The excessive use and adaptation of robots are likely to reduce the number of employees required in most of manufacturing companies. Decision support systems are likely to reduce the number of staffing within organizations

   iv.          Most service companies are expected to reduce the number of employees due to technological advancement. Service companies are likely to increase the level/extent of self service facilities such as banks and mobile companies. Customers are likely to complete various transactions through online platforms such as android devices. Currently, customer can make a transfer from m-pesa to bank account directly without visiting banking hall for such service.

iii.             Online gaming as an entertainments are likely to increase in the near future. This is also likely to replace the physical games that might require some people to physically move from one place to another to watch or play them.

v.      Security is likely to increase in the future due to technological advancements. Access systems are largely increasing in various places and in various systems.
